The Challenge: 

Vignetic is looking for a Technical Product Owner – SAP/FICO Intercompany Manager who will work at the intersection of business & technology to define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives, challenges, with technology solutions and extending them into development execution, value realization & ongoing product management. This role is responsible to lead strategic vision, road map and implementation of SAP Finance (A2R) solutions to enable S/4 HANA and other ERP applications. As a Platform Lead for the S/4 Central Finance project, partner with Finance, IT, and project management to oversee the deployment across sectors. Build and prioritize the financial system portfolio, capturing the demand from the business. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Business Problem Definition: understanding and translating business problems faced by the finance function into a value case & comprehensive set of solutions spanning process, technology, data, governance & user experience supported by defined, baselined value realization key performance indicators. 
  • External Insights: understanding external trends and insights related to finance process & technology, including macro level shifts in compliance regimes (e.g. BEPS, SAF-T, US Tax Reform) to provide foresight necessary to inform strategies. 
  • Solution Design: ensuring that product development efforts incorporate an approach that starts with experimentation to validate expected impact, includes human centered design, embraces agile principles, incorporates external insights, required end to end process optimizations, and compliance engagement. 
  • Architecture: partnering with the finance architecture team to define the role each system plays within our landscape aligned with business capabilities. 
  • Internal Partnerships: acting as the primary trusted advisor to senior finance & technology leaders across all lifecycles of product development starting with inception through to value realization & ongoing continuous improvement, and communication of progress against strategic objectives. 
  • Product Management: partnering with product management teams to ensure roadmaps are oriented to deliver finance business & technology strategy, value creation objectives, and measurable key performance indicators. 
  • Team Leadership: lead a team of finance technology strategy professionals across multiple domains.

Basic Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:  

  • S/4 HANA and SAP Central Finance.  
  • Intercompany accounting, Matching and Reconciliation.  
  • S/4 HANA ICMR or Blackline Tool.  
  • SAP New G/L: Document Splitting, Ledger Solution and Multiple Scenarios.  
  • Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting and Cost Elements accounting.  
  • Close optimization, continuous accounting, and foreign currency valuation.  
  • Tax reporting and Vertex solution integration.  
  • Integration expert for integrating the entire Purchase-2 Pay business process: Creation and maintenance of vendor master records. Vendor transaction processing (including invoices and payments) Integrated nature within the MM component, Invoice verification & Outgoing payment process.  
  • Integration expert for integrating the entire Order-2-Cash business process covering: Creation and maintenance of customer master records, Customer transaction processing (including invoices, credits, and payments) integrated nature with SD module, Debtor’s management, including credit control.  
  • Experienced in designing and implementing interfaces with SAP and Non-SAP systems. Reporting to the General Accounting Lead (Senior Manager), you would partner closely with global process owners, senior finance personnel, and financial systems leads to maximize the transformational potential of technology investments.  
  • Plan, select, and schedule approved vendors to deliver the service. Oversee the work of vendor resources throughout a project. Provide guidance and expertise to team members in executing the projects/enhancements.  
  • Develop service improvement plans and/or run service improvement initiatives  
  • Applies compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provides documentation as necessary, and participates in compliance activities as required.  

Required Minimum Education:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, Master’s Degree with focus on Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MBA is preferred.

Required Years of Related Experience:   

  • 5 years of SAP experience within FICO, S/4 HANA Implementation experience required.  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Advanced understanding of J&J I/T’s technology standards and strategies.  
  • Experience working in Gxp environment.  
  • Individual must be proficient in creating defects and test scripts using HPALM or JIRA.  
  • Standout colleague with good communication skills and be customer oriented, aiming at effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
